Csillag István

He finished his studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts from Timișoara, with a specialization in Graphic Design. He started to illustrate books as a student, and he is still working as an illustrator. Today there are more than 38 storybooks and 5 literary works published with his illustrations. Starting from 2007 he works for the children's magazines ‘Cimbora’, ‘Napsugár’, ‘Szivárvány’, and since 2015 he creates illustrations for the literary magazine ‘Helikon’ too. He currently lives in Miercurea Ciuc and works as an independent graphic artist and book illustrator.

For the Castle in Transylvania Shop, he created illustrations of Transylvanian castles and manors. He used watercolor techniques and sought to grasp the essence of each castle through concise and iconic brushstrokes.
