ALEXANDRA CONSTANTINESCU

Alexandra Constantinescu is an artist and designer. She studied sculpture at the Art and Design University of Cluj-Napoca, both on bachelor’s and master’s degree level. She studied ceramics for one semester at the Universidad del Pais Vasco from Bilbao, and she fell in love with ceramics here. Alexandra creates objects from porcelain and clay, and she decorates them with small spots and stripes. Her favourite color is green, this color became actually her signature along the years. She finds ceramics as fascinating as the stories from the One Thousand and One Nights storybook, and if anyone asked why she chose to work with ceramics, she could find at least as many reasons too.

Try to imagine if we tried to concentrate all the natural beauty from Transylvania into one single drop. What smell or color would this drop have? Would it smell like green grass, fir forests or beech forests? The only thing we know for sure is that this essence would turn into green drops, similar to the ones that cover the objects from the CONDENS collection.
